Katie Thompson
PNP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Katie brings with her a rich history in both clinical and mission-driven healthcare. With a Master of Science in Nursing from Loma Linda University, she has built an extensive career focused on pediatric care in settings ranging from advanced hospital units to isolated mission fields. Most recently, Katie has been serving as a missionary PNP, providing primary and urgent care for children in rural areas of Kenya and Papua New Guinea.

Her early career began in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, where she provided critical care to the smallest patients. Later, she moved into pediatric cardiothoracic and outpatient care, where she developed expertise in child growth and development, chronic disease management, and complex pediatric conditions.

Whether offering well-child exams, seeing young patients with acute illness, or conducting outreach clinics in remote areas, her work is rooted in a holistic approach to healthcare that supports not only the child but the whole family. She is passionate about guiding families through education and advocacy, while promoting autonomous parental decision-making in health care.
